Content Guide

Have questions about what to expect? This is a basic guide to what you will—and won’t—find in any of my books. If you have concerns about specific triggers or other topics not mentioned here, please feel free to email me directly.

(Please keep in mind that this guide is not intended as a statement regarding my views on book content, nor is it meant to express an opinion about any reader’s personal preferences. It should also not be used as a definitive guideline for age appropriateness.)

All of my books are romances, and most contain mildly descriptive kissing scenes, along with expressions of emotional intimacy. You will never find strong innuendo, graphic descriptions of physical intimacy, or open door sex scenes.

Some of my books do contain occasional mild swearing, but never strong or pervasive. You will never find f-bombs or explicitly sexual language.

Most of my books include mild fantasy violence, which may include verbal threats, magical battles, hand-to-hand combat, assassination, duels, large scale war scenes, serious injuries, and deaths (including being eaten by a dragon). There are no scenes of graphic torture, and description of gore is kept to a minimum.

The question of what constitutes a cliffhanger ending can be answered very differently by different readers, so here are some general guidelines for what to expect…

  • If the book is part of a series of standalones (Andari Chronicles, Conclave Worlds, Night Elves of Abreia) it will consist of a complete romance with a HEA. While the characters might appear in other books in the series, their primary story will be complete.
  • If the book is part of an ongoing series (Legends of Abreia, Dragon of 23rd Street, Shifter of Sheridan Avenue) each book will have its own story arc, but the larger story will remain unfinished until the final book in the series. Each story will end at a natural pause point or shift during the events of the book (rather than breaking off in the middle of suspenseful action) but there will be questions and plot points that remain unresolved until the end of the series.
